First Friend
Imagine going to a foreign country to study and prepare for a career not knowing anyone or how to navigate the culture. International students attending UTC long to connect with Americans and make friends. You can lovingly help a foreign student with practical needs and a positive adjustment to the American way of life. Special First Friend events are held periodically and will be posted at this website as details become available.

Hospitality to our Partners
Our mission partners often visit and need a place to stay. Hosting a single, couple, or family is a great way to hear amazing stories, build friendships, and see how God is working around the world.

Medical Missions
This dedicated team is working to expand global medical outreach by supporting ministries and churches that use healthcare as a way to share the gospel in their communities.
The subcommittee’s goal is to grow First Presbyterian Church’s ability to send short-term medical teams—both locally and internationally—in response to specific requests for assistance.
If you’re passionate about medicine and missions, this is a great way to make a meaningful impact!
World Missions Committee
Do you have a heart for the nations and a passion for what God is doing around the world? The World Missions Committee (WMC) is a team of globally-minded individuals who help shape and support the missions vision at First Presbyterian Church.
What We Do:
Cast vision for global missions within our church community
Support and strengthen the effectiveness of our mission efforts and partnerships
Organize and oversee various subcommittees focused on candidate selection, conference planning, and events
If you’re interested in world events, love cross-cultural ministry, and want to help others engage in God’s global mission, we’d love to connect with you!

Led by Leslie Cory, our Prayer Team gathers every Wednesday from 4:30–5:30 PM, both in person and on Zoom. It’s a meaningful hour where we lift up our mission partners and weekly needs in prayer.
