Supporting Missionaries since 1840

THIS IS YOUR PORTAL TO THE WORLD, YOUR GATEWAY TO SERVE GOD IN MANY NATIONS ON THE EARTH; WORLD MISSIONS AT 1ST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.  WE CHALLENGE YOU TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP, IN FAITH.

74th Annual World Missions Conference

Save the Dates: October 22–26, 2025

Join us for a powerful week of worship, teaching, and global vision as we celebrate God’s work around the world and explore how we can be part of His mission. Stay tuned for speaker announcements, event details, and opportunities to connect with missionaries and mission partners.

We’re excited to announce that First Presbyterian Church has officially joined Mission to the World’s (MTW) 1% Challenge. This initiative calls churches within the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) to pray and mobilize 1% of their adult members to serve in overseas missions for one year or longer.

With over 280,000 adult members in the PCA, the goal is to send 2,800 missionaries into the global harvest over the next decade. We are honored to be the 100th church to commit to this vision and join hands with others in advancing the gospel worldwide.

If you feel called to explore overseas service—whether with MTW or another mission organization—our World Missions staff would love to connect with you and help you take the next step.

“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.’” — Matthew 9:37

This is the property where Mercy Kenya operates shelters for boys and girls who have come out of the “slum” of Kibera in Nairobi.  Here they grow food for the children at the school in Kibera and bring the kids for camp during school holidays.  Rev. Imbumi and Martha Makuku have planted a church in Kibera and have been at work for many years to bless the children who grow up in a very tough place.   We frequently send teams to help them.
