Financial Partnership Support

To be eligible for financial partnership support, candidates must live and serve outside the borders of the United States of America, with the exception of Native American church planters.

At this time, we are only accepting applications from individuals and organizations with whom we already have an established connection.

Below are some of our key requirements for consideration:

ELIGIBILITY FOR Career Missionaries

  • Missionaries who desire to partner financially with First Presbyterian Church must apply for funding through the partnership application process of the World Missions Program.

  • Applicants will have received the endorsement of their home church—attesting to their consistent Christian witness, giftedness, and missionary calling.

  • New missionary candidates must live and serve outside of the borders of the United States of America.

  • The candidate must be accepted for service under an approved mission agency that provides a professional level of infrastructure; i.e., field supervision, home ministry supervision, financial services, medical benefits, life insurance, and retirement consideration.

  • First Presbyterian Church does not support missionaries serving under denominational mission boards other than Mission to the World (MTW), the foreign sending agency of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

  • In keeping with the PCA’s commitment to the Reformed theological tradition, World Missions prioritizes its financial contributions to those missionaries whose ministries are associated with Mission to the World, Redeemer City to City, Serge, and the Southern Africa Reformed Mission.

  • In keeping with the World Missions vision of “Church Planting Movements in Strategic Global Cities,” candidates must serve in a role that facilitates the planting and maturation of indigenous-led churches and church planting movements.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR INDIGENOUS CHURCH PLANTERS

  • Church Planters who desire to partner financially with First Presbyterian Church must apply for funding through the partnership application process of the World Missions Program.

  • World Missions does not enter into partnerships with US-based church plants.

  • Indigenous church planters are not required to belong to a specific church denomination although any denomination affiliation must be evangelical and preferably reformed.

  • World Missions prioritizes partnerships with church planters who are directly associated with the church planting ministries of Redeemer City to City, the Southern Africa Reformed Mission, Mission to the World, Serge and the UK Partnership.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR SHORT-TERM

  • Must be a member of First Presbyterian Church to apply for funding through the Short-Term application process of the World Missions Program.

  • Candidates must serve outside of the borders of the United States of America for 24 months or less.

  • The candidate must be accepted for service under an approved mission agency that provides a professional level of infrastructure; i.e., field supervision, home ministry supervision, financial services, medical benefits, life insurance, etc.

    In keeping with the PCA’s commitment to the Reformed theological tradition, World Missions prioritizes its financial contributions to those missionaries whose ministries are associated with Mission to the World, Redeemer City to City, Serge, and the Southern Africa.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR NATIVE AMERICAN CHURCH PLANTERS

  • Church Planters who desire to partner financially with First Presbyterian Church must apply for funding through the application process of the World Missions Program.

  • Native American church planters are not required to belong to a specific church denomination although any denomination affiliation must be evangelical and preferably reformed.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR PROJECTS

  • Candidates who desire to partner financially with First Presbyterian Church must apply for funding through the Project application process of the World Missions Program.

  • Candidates must serve outside of the borders of the United States of America

  • World Missions prioritizes partnerships with church planters who are directly associated with the church planting ministries of Redeemer City to City, the Southern Africa Reformed Mission, Mission to the World, Serge and the UK Partnership.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR WORLD RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Candidates who desire to partner financially with First Presbyterian Church must apply for funding through the WR&D application process of the World Missions Program.

  • At this time, we are only accepting applications from individuals and organizations with whom we already have an established relationship.
