World Missions is funded by the Faith Promise Giving of our members and friends. Your funds in Year 2025 will provide support for 32 career missionary units, 10 indigenous church planters, 2 Short-Term missionaries, training and coaching initiatives, relief and development projects, Bible translation, multi-media seminary curriculum, international student ministry, and administrative services required to manage the ministry. We hope you will prayerfully consider supporting the worldwide outreach of First Presbyterian Church.

Here at 1st Presbyterian Church, we support the work of World Missions through a “Faith-Promise” plan. This is over and above our regular budget, wholly voluntary, and carried out by faith and prayer. How is it done?
The World Missions Executive Committee sets an annual budget.
The saints of 1st PC are given a financial challenge each year, usually at the annual World Missions Conference.
Individuals and families pray over what they feel the Lord would have them give by faith. We each trust for God to provide a specific amount to support this world mission work, and that is the commitment we make. This is one area where members are encouraged to designate their gifts.
At times, some people will give a financial gift in honor of someone who has gone to glory.
Some people will leave part of their estate (in their will) to continue the work of world missions.
Many people who do not make a specific commitment still make generous contributions throughout the year.
The WMEC takes any surplus funds and invests them for future needs or emergencies in world missions.
This is a collective effort of the entire church. We need each one of you to play a part. Will you pray, will you give money, will you go on a mission’s trip, will you go as a short- or long-term missionary, will you join the Mission’s Committee? You may be asked to house a missionary when they visit, you may be asked to host a gathering for our missionaries to share their work, and you will always be asked to keep praying, and to ask the Lord if maybe you are one of those he will call to go. This is the mission, if you choose to accept it.
