1st Pres Medical Missions

  • Who We Are

    A World Missions subcommittee is working to facilitate global medical assistance to ministries and churches involved in using medicine to reach their communities for the gospel. Committee members are working to increase the capacity of 1st Presbyterian church to send short-term teams in response to requests for medical assistance at home and abroad.

  • Who Can Participate in Medical Missions

    Licensed medical practitioners and non-medical personnel who have the skills to be part of a team experience are necessary to the success of medical mission outreach. Like all medical settings, non-medical support staff are essential for providing quality medical care.

The team will participate in community health outreach through clinics reaching the undeserved in Nairobi. By providing basic care for physical ailments the gospel can be seen and shared with those in need. Non-medical as well as medical professionals are needed for this team.

What to Expect:

  • Engage with Imbumi and Martha Makuku and learn about Kibera Reformed Presbyterian Church, Mamlaka Christian School, and the Shunem Home ministry.

  • Provide health care at clinics in Kibera as well as in Kiserian

  • See God’s work of physical and spiritual provision for the poor in Kenya.


    Trip Details:

  • Length: 8-10 days

  • Who Can Go: High school students (with a parent) and older, medical professionals and support members

  • Team size: 12 participants

  • Cost: Approximately $3,500 non-member and $1,750 member (world missions cover 50% of the trip cost). Cost will be announce soon.
